Stan Gorman is an illustrator whose professional art background extends more than thirty years, having been an art director, illustrator, conceptual artist, teacher, and art consultant.
Mr. Gorman received an academic scholarship to the Maryland Institute College of Art, in Baltimore, Md. where he earned a BFA degree. He also completed various post-graduate classes at Art Center College of Design in Southern California, the University of California at Los Angeles, and Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, he established a name for himself as an illustrator and animator. Now Stan, as a member of the Society of Children's book writer and illustrators, spends a large portion of his career illustrating children's books.

I have Illustrated for numerous national accounts such as Litton Data Systems, Toyota, Nissan, Oxford University Press, Harcourt Brace, McGraw, Hill, Continental Airlines, Aloha Airlines, Apple Computer Inc., Lotus Software, Lockheed Aircraft, Dow Chemicals, Globe Tires, Carnation Foods, Rainbow Games, Applause Inc., a Buick Automotive show, and Disneyland (Conceptual Designer and Illustrator). Assisted in designing a business and cultural center for the State of Alaska (Robert Jani Productions). Designed a theme park for the City of Norfolk, Virginia (Jacques Cousteau Society). Storyboard Director for Marvel Productions, working on Spiderman and Dungeons and Dragons Saturday morning shows. Display and conceptual Artist for Mattel Toys. Designed displays for Disney, Nickelodeon, Rugrats and Hot Wheels. Creative director for Virgin Interactive, and Williams Entertainment.
