I have been a professional illustrator for 20 years. Before that I was an art student, train guard, arts admnistrator and band manager (I have the scars). As an illustrator I have mostly worked for magazines and newspapers in the UK.
I work mainly in pen ink and watercolour. My style of work is figurative, tending towards cartoon and caricature with wit and humour. I do political cartoons. I also paint portraits
As this is a biography I should like you to know that I live with my wife by the sea. I have two daughters and one granddaughter. I have a dog, two cats and a number of chickens. I have an old wooden yacht called Tina, I like playing tennis and going to the pub.
The last piece of music I bought was Gill Scott Heron. The current book am reading is "Shoalwater and Fairway" by H Alker Tripp a sailing classic published in 1952. My favourite film director is probably Robert Altman. My favoutite artists (past): Tenniel, Gilray, Spencer, Burra, Grosz, Lear, Daumier, van Goch, Levine and (present) Slater, Till, Otto, Searle, Low, Dave Brown well there are hundreds.
