Nelson Santos was born in Salvaterra Magos on 1974 year of revolution in Portugal and describes himself as a self taught artist who learned about drawing and caricaturing from watching and studying other artists. His short caricature career began in 1999 in an animation studio where Nelson worked at the time and would always been asked to draw caricatures and sketches of his friends. A call came in for a caricature artist at a convention for a company trying to promote a new brand of organic shampoo (which nelson later discovered he was allergic to.) During this period the caricature bug really took a big bite out Nelson, until today he keeps developing his technique.
