When I was a kid, you'd either find me with my nose in a book or drawing. I knew I wanted to have a career as a "commercial artist". I wasn't even sure of what that meant back then, but I knew it meant you could somehow make a living by doing art.
I've been a graphic designer since 1984, working in a variety of places, from small agencies to large corporations. I loved what I did for a living, but my real passion was illustration. That passion, and my life-long love of children's books has finally convinced me to start focusing on illustrating for children. Someday I hope to write picture books, as well as illustrating them.
Some of my favorite things to do in life are reading, drawing, laughing, and eating chocolate. I live in St. Louis, Missouri, with my husband and two very vocal cats, Nicobella and Squeeky.
