| Ken was born and raised in New Jersey where he still resides in the town of Toms River ( home of the 1998 Little League Champion Toms River East LL ). He has been drawing portraits since his high school days and has also been a graphic designer in New York City before venturing out to start his own illustration & graphic design business. He graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree while also obtaining an Associates in Arts degree from Ocean County College and a Visual Communications Certification at Gibbs in Piscataway, New Jersey. Ken prefers to work with graphite pencil, color pencil and pen and ink while also experimenting with other medium as well. He specializes in the drawing of people and animals with a concentration on celebrities and sports. He has done portraits for celebrities such as John Stearns, former all star catcher of the New York Mets. His drawing of Ernie Banks ("Mr. Cub") was featured on the cover of the July 8, 2005 edition of the Sports Collectors Digest. Ken also has completed portraits of various College Football HOF's that were recently on display in the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, Indiana. | |
