| Artist Statement
I love photography as an artistic medium it is so instantaneous and real. As a 'wanna be' inventor at heart, photography lets me mesh my creative and technical cravings in one hit. My work is greatly influenced by my immediate environment, nature and memory. Visual structure and colour also play a major role in my art making. Currently I am obsessed all things archaic and it is a theme that arises through out my work over the years. Old cameras and new ways to use them helps me create works that remind me of a happy childhood when time seemed to stand still and life was simple. Jules Campbell |
