I was born in Osaka, Japan on December 9th, 1985 due to the fact that my parents were doing missionary work. My father was a pastor and my mother was a teacher. When we moved back I was bounced around Illinois for awhile until I went to high school in Austin, MN in 2000. In 2004, my senior year, I was nominated for Artist of the Year. After high school I attended Riverland Community College in the same city and received my Associates Degree. In 2006 I moved to Spring Arbor, MI to major in graphic design. It was in this year when I received my first serious digital camera, a Canon 20D, and began experimenting as much as possible with photography as an art form. In 2007 I transferred to UW-Stout and decided to major in studio art so I could understand more of the fine arts background while learning software and the technical know-how on my own through various tutorials. In 2008 I started my own company, Jordan Ewert Photography, for senior portraits and weddings. My true passion, however, remained in the arts and I felt the need to excel in more advanced photo retouching and fine art and commercial photography. In the Spring of 2010 with a BFA in Studio Art from UW-Stout and am currently a freelance photographer and retoucher.
