| I am a missionary kid from East Africa and have a great eye for interesting design work and work that catches an audiences eye. I have my Bachelor's of Art in Broadcast Communications with a track in Journalism from Salem College in North Carolina. I grew up with a photographer for a father who took pictures of the East African wildlife and landscapes and his artistic gene was passed along to most of his children, including me. After a few years in freelance journalism and broadcast, I began teaching videography and graphic design to high school students. I was a teacher of Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. As a result of my specific skill set, I was asked to design invitations to school events, commemorative magazines, fliers, brochures and crests. I also began working as a freelance designer for several NGO's and mission organizations. Now I am living in Canada and am still available for freelance work but am also looking for full-time work. NEW! I am now a published children's author. I had an illustrator hand draw the outlines and then I worked on photoshop to build the pictures to meet my concept. I have uploaded a poster that I did for the launch which is coming up. |
