| My name is Darren Holtom I live in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire in England. I am 35 and am married with 2 children. I currently work full time as a postman, but my real dream is to be a full time illustrator.
I love all kinds of drawing, but specialise in digital art. I have recently illustrated a role playing game book called Legends and Fairytales. This was the first time I have had my drawings in print and something I am very proud of. I also do a lot of caricatures and portraits for friends and family. I take inspiration from artists such as Todd Lockwood an James Ryman as well as from my very large collection of magazine images and photographs which I collect to help me with poses and landscapes for my pictures. This helps me with poses and proportions, although through my pictures you will see that many of them are far from real life!!! I use a Mac and Wacom drawing tablet along with Photoshop Elements 4. I am very much looking forward to any new challenges which come my way in the future. |
