Here are 2 examples of creating 3D designs from standard shapes in Adobe Illustrator.

Hi guys,
There is a celebration of new age contemporary design work for the fifith time in Berlin (the creative capital).
The festival will be on from the 15th of October until the 1st of November, with a fine display of animation,3d illustration, painting, prints and drawing work.
Have any of you heard of AKVIS Sketch, well, we had not until just recently. It is not for the serious illustrators or accomplished artists. However, this is actually an award winning program which allows you to convert photos into pencil sketches and watercolour images. Believe it or not it actually has received recognition from top professionals and there are many casual/home users who love the results.
The new version of AKIVIS Sketch has recently been released with many significant improvements. If your one of those people who cannot use a pencil very well to produce realistic results, fear not, this might be the program for you. The conversions actually work in real time so the process is pretty smart.
The program also has the ability to add special effects with just a few clicks. The common textures such as canvas, brick wall and rough surfaces can be added very easily, along with the ability to add signatures to really personalise your work.
2 years ago I had XP on a laptop and was beginning to hate windows for constantly crashing and failing to open simple programs like itunes. So I made the move to Apple Mac. Never had such a reliable computer in my life. Almost 2 years after having a mac I haven't had literally 1 problem. So as far as I am concerned I'm never buying windows ever again.
Then couple of weeks ago my mate starts about his vista pc which died and he has now since bought a awesome mac book pro :) . But still he was going on about waiting for windows 7 looking good. So today I checked out the videos on youtube. Found 1 video going on about how good its core is. which wasn't much of a demo, then i found another video which shows how to resize and move photos. clearly no one at mircosoft has a iphone which has been doing the same thing for how long now lol. Another Video has just screenshots of ''really cool desktop images'' ...
So windows 7 doesn't seem to do anything new apart from the new ''windows wheel'' which looks familiar ... where have i seen that before, oh yeah! its a circle dock which appears to be stolen from a mac and made into a circle .
