My 500GB external hard drive crashed on me, with ALL of my designs, pictures and work on it as I was cleaning up my laptop and PC. I was NOT Impressed that I had only had it for a few months and when I was calling around to get it fixed or to retrieve the data off it at least, I'm being charged over a months wages for it.
Yes I know, I know people have to make their money but that is way too steep for my pockets. So bought an external 1TB hard drive for less than £70, which has relieved some of my worries and I can sort the other one out at a later date. Now, I'm extra, extra cautious with things like this and I would advise you to save your work in 2 or more different places, if you don't already. It only takes a few minutes out of the day...
