| Hi everyone and thanks for visiting my profile.
Shortly about me : I was born and raised in a beautiful and nature rich Finland and this is probably why I feel really inspired and peaceful when I'm surrounded by the nature. There are lots of influences from Scandinavian pure lines and Japanese comic art in my work. This is due to the fact that I went through a phase where I was completely taken by the beauty of the Japanese culture. When making illustrations I always start to work with the traditional pen and ink and then in order to emphasis moods or atmosphere, I start to mix textures or photography in my art. I use Photoshop and Illustrator most frequently, but I always start with traditional drawing. I choose the medium according to what I want to convey with my art. As far as I can remember, I've always been drawing. I studied Fine Arts in Finland during 2002-2003. I then moved to UK, Birmingham and studied Visual communication in the Institute of Art and Design. I graduated with a degree in Illustration in 2007. After graduating, I moved back to Finland for a while and worked and practised in IKEA and in a design company called TANGO in Helsinki. I then moved to London, continued to work as a freelancer and became a CIW site Designer during this time. I’m currently liiving and working in Italy.
